Preform Mold Regular Maintenance

 

 

1. Replace consumable parts regularly.

No matter how thoroughly you perform daily maintenance, some parts will ultimately wear out. Therefore, locate the replacement part and ensure that your PET preform molds are always in good operating order.

Such as:

a. Verify the mold cooling system (the mold cooling channels cannot hold cooling water). To increase the cooling channel's lifespan, it needs to be cleaned to stop the mold from rusting and obstructing the canal.

b. Check hot runner valve;

c. Check the wear plate, guide pin, and guide bush;

d. Check the grounding of the hot runner heating tube.

e. Check hot runner thermocouple (to prevent abnormalities and heating);

 

2. Do the right lubrication maintenance.

Regularly lubricate moving parts, such as the guiding pin and bush, the cavity, core, and lip cone surface, as well as all ejection components, while the mold is still in operation.
