The materials of the blowing mold need to have good wear resistance, corrosion resistance, thermal stability and processing properties. Commonly used materials include aluminum alloy and steel. Aluminum alloy molds have the advantages of light weight, good thermal conductivity and low processing cost. They are suitable for producing bottles with small batches and not particularly high accuracy requirements.

Steel molds have higher strength, hardness and wear resistance, and can withstand higher pressure and temperature. They are suitable for producing bottles with large batches and high accuracy requirements, such as cosmetic bottles, pharmaceutical bottles, etc. Cavity part is the key part of the mold to form the shape of the bottle, It consists of two halves, forming a complete cavity when the mold is clamped, in which the plastic melt is blown into a bottle shape. Dimensions and precision directly determine the dimensional accuracy and appearance quality of the bottle. In order to improve production efficiency and ensure the quality of the bottle, the blowing bottle mold is equipped with a cooling system, composed of cooling water channels, which reduces the mold temperature by circulating cooling water, so that the plastic bottle can be quickly cooled and fixed during the molding process, and reduces the molding cycle. Bottle blow moulding molds can be designed according to different needs.

The most common ones are 2-chamber and 4-chamber bottle blowing molds. The more cavity the mold, the faster the production, and the more cost-saving. Also, Molds with large number of cavity also have limitations, such as the difficulty of mold manufacturing increases and the cost increases, the requirements for bottle blowing equipment are higher, and maintenance is more complicated.
